Today was awesome! I got up early so the Missus and I could hang out a bit, we went for a nice drive to go see some deer and elk up at Stove Prairie Ranch, had a beer at one of our favorite watering holes (Big Beaver Brewing), grabbed a Big Daddy Fire Burger at Wapiti Grill, and then came home to catch the first episode of the new season of Westworld.

Gonna smoke some pork loin tomorrow, life is good!

Off tonight... what should I do? Suggestions?

 

We haven't gotten to hang out like that in a while, it was really nice!

 

My honey-do list currently consists of:

• beers
• washing the sheets
• beers
• making sure that my pork gets flipped in the marinade and the home-made black beans make it to the firdge
• video game or movie later cause I can't freakin' get to sleep before like, 3 or 4.

 

I got up a little early to spend some time with her but she spent all afternoon doing homework got done a couple hours ago. Oh well, for the better!

 

Getting off at 6am Sunday (rant, INCOMING!) and getting up early to hang with our loved ones takes some doin', it really does!

ETA: OK, I managed to avoid the rant. It's a bitch for us nightshifters though, I wonder who suffers the most sometimes, us or our loved ones.

Eh that’s usually me for troubleshooting. Or worst case get to the dock and call for backup.

Please don't tell the managers where I work who insist that we have a support person on at all times that all we do is:

We just had some chic come in the ER saying she was constipated. She just delivered a full term baby. She never once mentioned being preggo even through the triage, nurse assessment, and doc seeing her Her mom was even with her and had no idea......she is 26

 

Nope still have buckets sitting in the hallway.
