I went to my first show up at the Hampton casino ballroom 21 years ago... saw the same band on their 20th anniversary tour last year.

Evening gang. First night in. Just did a barge shift from Brooklyn to jersey, hopefully done for the night now.

Got 3k of work on the taco while home. Steering was leaking fluid now it’s like all new.

Also got a job offer for a land based Monday-Friday 9-5. Question of the night, how much of a pay hit is normal hours worth to you?? I’ll be down a bit but more time at home should make it pay off.

If you can still live without struggling(meaning giving up some unnecessary things), I say do it. Unless you really like being on the water.

At the moment I couldn’t take a pay hit as my wife got laid off on Monday morning and we have 2 kids to feed.

If she were still making what she made I’d likely be okay with a 5-10k hit for normalcy.

Edit: it’s all relative to what you make though. Since I work for the state it’s publicly available knowledge what I make, just shy of 70.

Just sneezed in my weld helmet. Taking a calm down walk...

And I'd take up to a $1.50/hr hit on pay for first shift

I’m lucky that my house doesn’t cost much. And the lady just moved in so she’s even pitching in now when I had easily afforded it on my own. It’s definitely a 20-30k decrease. If anything it will slow down my rate of savings and may delay some house projects or truck replacement. But getting home every night and having 4 weekends a month instead of 2 will be big.

I’ve had the opportunity many times but I’d take a 2.00/hr hit to move to days and would get stuck with tues/weds off.
Also, my sanity would be out the fn window since I hate the people.

This could be fun. Just found out TacomaWorld isn't blocked at work. Let the shenanigans ensue. Just came back after a week off and it's slow goings already...

Little too punky for my taste. Back in the late 90s/early00s I was more into grunge and hard rock.

Nice! Somehow the let us have Amazon Prime. I've been crushing some Parks and Recreation on there until that new Jack Ryan show comes out next week...
