ya true. I'm just going to play with VHF in the truck (once I find a radio and pass the test). don't think the air force base would be happy if I threw up a HF antenna in the backyard in housing near all their comms gear.

that's awesome. my dad let me play around once or twice with a welder before butnothing special. just let me do a bead on a random piece of scrap he had laying around. but he isn't that big into it. just as a hobby. we use to go to a miniature train park (the small ones you canride on) and he ended up making a custom car for wheelchairs to be able to ride.
