yeah some nights its just CRAZY and then other nights its calm and quiet, those night are few and far between though lol

 

tonight is my monday, 4 night straight to go, and if it goes like tonight so far its going to be a very long weekend

 

That sucks hopefully it will get better...I got one more night then off two. At least you won't be bored!

 

How many you have off after the 4?

 

yeah i hope it does, i can definately say im never bored, each night is definatley different

 

i will have tues night off then back at it for 3 then off sat and sun night

 

That's what I miss about working in the public. Never knew what the next call was going to be. Here it's 99.8% BS

 

yeah it keeps it interesting, the stories i could tell lol

 

so jason if you dont mind me asking what exactly is it that you do in your field

 

Ouch....do you stay up on your off days of just keep the night shift and stay up at nights when you are off? I tried both one I'm bored cause everyone else is sleep and the other I'm like a zombie.

 

I do fire protection at a pharmaceutical plant and emergency response.

 

well i have been on night shift for 8 yrs now, on my nights off im usually up till like 1 or 2 in the morn then i will sleep in till usually 9 or 10. my thing is i usually get off at 7, im in bed by 8 0r 8:30 sleep till 3 then im up till 7 8 the next morning, i cant take naps in the eves before going back to work.

 

That's pretty much my schedule when I am on nights. I have tried the naps before shift but never works out.

 

yeah like in the morn i will def crash at 8 because i got up this morning at 7 to go fishing so when 7 rolls around i will be up 24 hrs straight.

 

Got to love being up that long!! Catch anything?

 

yeah went bass fishing and reeled in quite a few, this morn and eve was great fishing weather here. started around 8 this morn and fished till like 5 this eve

 

Awesome a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. I put 50 cat and 10 carp in the pond at the house. I think I should have got bigger cats think the bass ate them. I haven't seen any of them since I released them.

 

yeah bass love cats, my aunt is having the same problem at her lake, the bass will eat the baby cats in one gulp. we fished all day on top and bottom and never caught one cat, we were talking about carp today, she is looking to get some grass carp to stock to keep the grass down.

 

Yup I bought a house in march with a 1.5 acre pond and I want some catfish in it and want to get control on the grass. Said it might take a year and a half for the carp to make a difference but figured it was better than spraying to whole pond with chemicals
