    Goodmorning Melissa, goodmorning all.
I'm back in for some random, overnight maintenance. I check in now and again when I'm working overnight.

thx Mel. I've been doing that per protocol. It does alleviate the discomfort some. I think it may be more of a stress/anxiety issue.
I had those hyptic jerking issues with the hip early on right after my surgery and I think it maybe related to that. Keep thinking it's going to happen again.
    How are you doing?

Oh yea. No real discomfort. My home health nurse released me with flying colors. Started therapy at proaxis at patewood today. No pain, no discomfort, it's more something mental with everything that has happened since may, its just now caught up to my brain. lol.
My body is 5mph while my brain is 95mph.

Got ya, yeah definitely a lot to deal with and a lot on your mind I'm sure, you gotta slow your brain down so your body can catch up Rich :) seriously though you have to relax and take it easy( I know easier said then done).

Well just got home and enjoying the rest of my Pinot Noir. So how does every one's significant other deal with your night shift schedule? I have been on nights for over 18 years and love it. Wouldnt have it any other way but not sure if the wife seems to think so. Granted we have only been together for 10 years and she knew I was on nights when I meet her and the job I took to move next to her after we started dating was a night shift. She has mentioned if a day shift came up would I take it. I told her probably not. Im not a morning person. I love nights for so many reasons. Mainly I have my mornings to run my own business and still have nights to work a regular 40 hr shift. So what is your guys and gals take on why you work nights and would you do it different if you had the choice?

I have been on nights now for 7 yrs after coming off strictly day shifts and I love it, and I agree I couldn't work any other shift. At the time I moved to nights for a change of pace and they offered a shift diff .My hubby goes to work at 4 am and works till 4pm, so usually when he gets home in the eve I'm up at 3pm daily, so we get to spend the evenings together, at first he didn't like me working nights but after 7yrs he has gotten used to it. I always joke with him that the reason we get along so great is that we only have to sleep together twice a week lol:D

I think my wife doesn't mind it, she knows where i am at night and she has some alone time like i do, for the most part it has worked on and off for 21 years. I am getting to the point where my body is not as flexible as it used to be and i am beginning to wonder how much longer. It's not healthy living on the back side of the clock. But it's a job and pays me pretty darn well, best part is non rev travel anywhere in the SWA system and space available on others. So give and take.
    I'm out till tonight...Later all.

Snow on the south side of Denver right now. It's going to be in the 70's next week though. Upslope storms for the win.
