I visit the murderpedia site every now and then. Lists serial killers male and female. All countries or by states. Interesting stuff.

First time posting in this section! I've worked shift work for over 30 years. 15 years of 7pm-7am 6-7 days a week. Then I took a job as a High Pressure boiler operator working 28 days of each shift. Then we changed to 12 hour days going from nights to days every 3 days with a day off in between. With this you got 15 days off all together every 5 weeks. But that only lasted about 2 years. Now we are back to the 28 days of each shift. But with this being the vacation season I'm on my 6th 16 hour day in a row and I've got 1 more to go. Then I got 4-12 hour days then a day off.

I still have to many things I want to retire! And this damn website ain't making it any easier! But as far as hard labor goes I got it pretty easy. I watch 7 boilers on 46 computer monitors. So I think I can do 10 more if the lottery thing don't pan out!

    :)

I will be trying to adjust my schedule back to 3rds soon. It wont be much longer. I can honestly say though it's been really nice to get in bed at 9pm and sleep. I also felt normal there for a little bit.
So anxious to get back to work........so I burn those 2 weeks of vacation before the end of the year. lol.

We have someone else watching boilers but for the life of me, I can't remember who it is. It's someone in the "40+" thread.

Holy shit you must always be tired! I also work in a Hospital Plant where we have high press. steam boilers. I work the Vacation coverage shift, so I rotate as needed from 1,2 or 3rd shifts. I just started a 2am-2pm shift due to my co- worker calling in sick the past 2 days. working on 3 hrs of sleep is no fun.
