I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing.

I dunno what you get but I know that of all the companies here, ours pays the least. There's people who do the same job as me and make more money just because they hired on with a different company. Kinda fucked up if you ask me. If I wanted to leave and come back with a different company, I'd have to wait a year to get hired back on, too.

 

Don’t you hate that. I could leave and come back 6 months later and make more.

 

So jacked up, you think the contract would have some way to balance it out. Makes it difficult to not hate coming to work when I know there's lazier people making more than me.

 

When I was a DOD contractor there were two companies... Mine made more.

 

My full time job is with the county.

That sucks... Why would you have to wait?

 

Yeah, we have three or four I think. Mine is bottom of the list.

Conflict of interest type thing? Probably to prevent people from jumping between companies lol

 

Fuck that noise. I hate contracts with a noncompete clause. My wife at the time was JAG and she rewrote my contract and sent it back to the company. They approved it and I didn't have a noncompete and she added a clause that allowed me to break the contract under all kinds of different conditions. Sometimes I miss having infinite free legal.

Hopefully I get looked at for this job I applied for earlier in the week and then I won't have to worry about being underpaid or working contract anymore
