Just looked at the time card. I am leaving at midnight, which will give me 53 hours.

Dude I find it's best to just try and squash that shit as soon as possible when I'm at work, even if it means apologizing or whatever the case may be. Same boat as you with getting hurt or killed, do not need that added shit

yeah i can usually let it go once i get here. but ive had a few times where the stuff just really irks me and i cant drop it. im honestly considering just avoiding her as much as possible when im on nights. she knows im irritable so my fuse is shorter. no need to start something...

Guys, I wish I could tell you why it happens like that. I've been in the same boat, and agree with how badly it sucks. Best of luck to you meteoraman2514.

I'll probably only be on a little while tonight. Today was so much fun, but I'm exhausted!! My team took 3rd, and I don't look as much like casper anymore! :)

Thanks! I don't know when I'll get to be an official "nightshifter" again. They have us pushed back to next Monday before we return to maybe work. This sucks so bad.

One good thing is I'm basically getting a Spring Break. And my former softball team won district and made the playoffs. I get to catch the game today (only the 2nd one all year.) This is the team that I coached the past 3 years when I was a teacher, so the now seniors were my freshman. I'm so proud of them!

I just finished a week and a half in a boiler in power plant about an hour and half from the house working the day shift. Not bad, alot of welding and rigging, but on the way there I did notice that there is some serious vibration in the front end when braking. Figured it could wait until the job was over which was yesterday. The way I had it figured out it is there would at least be a couple days or a week until the next gig came around, but oh no. I was told to report to another power plant, alittle bit closer to home, tonight at 7 pm. Not sure how long this one will last. The plan is to get up as I have been doing regularly and just making it through the first day then after that everything will. In the meantime, I made plans witha local brake shop to do the work needed. It's little bit frustrating having someone else do what you can do on your truck and paying them but there simply is no time for me to do this one after a shift and risk not having my truck to get to work the next day.

Back to the night shift 6pm to 6am which in reality is 5pm to 830am for the next 5 days. Luckily my wife is very supportive as I seem to disappear when I go back to work.
