Last night on before 2 off. Supposed to be in the high 90s this weekend so I may have to delay putting 18v drill batteries in the boys’ power wheels. Gonna pick up some new motors and gearboxes for when they toast these ones.

    what’s good with you?

Ramping up the job search again.
Found out some dumb shit that apparently puts me at the bottom of the list to move to days.

good luck with your search; seems like a tough time to be looking for a new jorb.

I passed the initial screening for a PO for the third time in 6 years so I applied to positions at 11 different courts last night. current commute is 30 min; went upwards of 1 hour in every direction. Money wise it’s a lateral move but there’s more advancement potential and a “normal” schedule.

13 years of shift work with the state, having to report during all kinds of states of emergency and natural disasters hoping that’s recognized.

Yeah, thinking about it more it's probably better to wait it out until the Rona stuff settles and/or we get a house.
Need to go get a degree in something that isn't exclusively shift work. All the stuff I have experience in runs 24/7 ops so all the opening I find are shift work, too. I'd kill for a M-F 9-5 position to open up somewhere.
Could use the GI Bill and get paid to go to school but it's an awful time to try and go to college, I imagine.
    Plus, we'd lose our healthcare.

Not the best for us. We don't have a ton saved up yet and my credit score could still use a few points. About to re-sign our lease for the apartment this month.

That's gonna be one souped up power wheels

do it right once, maybe it’ll last a little while. Gonna make it run on 18v drill batteries. Gotta teach em how to drift so I can turn the speed potentiometer up to 11.

Where is the axle going? With all that tongue weight, the axle is gonna have to be quite a bit forward.

The rear half is an access cab frame. It'll use all Tacoma susp, rear bumper, and the same wheels/tires as my truck. It was built with that in mind.
