$1.5. Except I'm on OT all weekend filling a vacation slot. Sooo whatever 1.5x$40+$1.50 ×12 hours.

 

I bounce back and fourth between day 12's and night 12's. They give me an extra $1 for all hours worked regardless of shift.

 

Yea I'm on 4 on 4 off alternating days and nights.

Finally getting caught up on summer projects. Deck turned out great! The Mrs. is super happy with her new deck built by me. Any one want to see pics? I don't mind posting, I just wonder if some think its too much.

Of course its now the holiday season. Not sure if that is more stressful or not. Tuesday is my first day of after working 7 mids. Got a date with the wifeto shop for charities. Coats for Kids, Food Pantry and few others that I can't remember. We kind of like that. Not as much thinking has to be done. You don't have remember if the toys you bought were the same as you bought last year.

I kinda get pissed dropping off the toys in the donation barrels we have stationed around here at work. I'll drop off toys and clothes making the barrel about half full or so. In 2-3 weeks time I'll have some more stuff to drop off. I go and drop off stuff and there will be no additional items placed in the barrel

Busy night for me tonight

 

Screw it! I worked hard on this thing. I will state that I hate carpentry work, unfortunately, ,I'm still good at it and the wife knows this. I would much rather be fabricating something out of iron.

The deck is 15' x 60'. We installed the door under the tiki hut as well. We now have access to the back yard from the bedroom as well as the family room.





Google does some weird shit to some of my pics. It will randomly take a pic and enhance it. I thought this one turned out good.
I also built the raised beds this summer as well. The short ones are getting removed. They were my starter raised beds and really didn't work to well.

 

That's funny. Tomaorrw night I'm going to strip and repaint a fiberglass boat motor cover. At least get it stripped and primed anyways.

 

I want to see the deck. Post away ...

And ramble on brother, nice to know I'm not the only one irritated by that kind of thing.

The hourly people get about $1 extra for shift work but they receive it all the time (day & night shift). The day shift only workers get nothing extra. An of course salary, like me, get nada.

Sitting around twiddling thumbs while my dremel battery recharges lol. The inner grill surround behind the grillecraft isnt perfect and my OCD won't let me just say F it and put it together lol. Still need to toss the BAMF light bar in and mount some lights...that's currently drying out in the work shed we never use Rough night at work tonight, guys.

 

I avoid work travel, prefer to let the younger guys take the trips; I did enough of it on active duty.

I don't mind flying for vacation or to visit family. Planes are still safer than many vehicles on our roads. I do hate commercial airports and try to minimize the number of airports we have to transit whenever possible.

Was just curious....after all the flying I did in the military it still scares the shit out of me. I get sick as soon as I step on one. It's crazy & can't explain it.

 

I've worked with people who felt the same way, it just never bothered me. The worst for me was traveling commercially with active duty pilots. I worked with this one Captain who I travelled with a lot teaching a Search and Rescue management course to State Civil Air Patrol units. He would give a running commentary on what the pilots were doing right, and especially wrong. Drove me nuts ... after a couple trips with him, I started requesting seat assignments at least 3 rows away. Same guy was an electronic gadget addict ... his wife used to tell me to keep him out of the electronic stores on our trips. This was all back around 1987 to 1989 ... hadn't thought about that guy in a very long time. Makes me laugh now.
