hahah you got me beat by 2 I got july 4th and thanksgiving off.

 

Hey, Melissa long time no hear. Hope you've been good.

Let's see, New Years, Memorial Day, Independance Day, Christmas (technically, I'm collecting holiday pay tonight), and probably New Years again.

 

I had July 4, Thanksgiving and Xmas. Worked all the rest.

 

Ugh, back to it! Was having a wonderful get together with the whole family yesterday when the nightshift guy last night calls and says he's calling out so he can spend time with his wife, after I specifically asked him not to since Saturday was my one day I had planned to enjoy with family. He said he DGAF and I have to show up because I'm on the hook, but he sure didn't call out on either of the holiday pay days.... Same guy straight up refused to stay late because I had class even though I offered to show up the same amount of time early whenever he wanted. Oki doki dude, I will make sure to keep this shit in mind the next time you want something,

 

Worse day of the year. Last week of the year and no more paid time off. 3 more days till my Christmas vacation.(Russian Christmas).

 

The only plus side I get off the morning of the 31st and nobody can call me in to work until the morning of the 1st. So I can actually party on New Years. So that's exciting

 

Hey Rob I have been doing good thank you for asking. I know it seems like I haven't been on here in forever, just been busy with everyday life and the holidays lol how have you been?

I'm doing good, hospital has been busy. Running around trying to keep the nurses happy You know how that goes

 

Its year end for the company I work for . With this said they make you bust a nutt for the last 2 months out of the year so the big shots get their bonus . Double the work for the same pay .
Working nightshift use to be peaceful because the safety guys / supervisors / management only work days .
They just double your work load on nights so you dont get a chance to enjoy your occupation .
And they ask me why I drink a couple beers when I get home ????

I'm already on shift for 4 hrs. Last nite for me and headed 700 miles north later tonight for my Christmas with family. Hope everyone has a safe and happy new years. I'll be on the road at midnite.

Nothing real noteworthy on my end. I'm good, Rob, thanks for asking.

Need to make up my mind on when I want to take my 1st vacation of the year. It'll be a "stay-cation". As everyone knows, those are the ones that you stay home and do all the shit that you have been putting off for a year. Basically, I need to decide when I want to take off work to get put to work.

I've got some carpentry work on the house that needs attention. Have I told you I hate carpentry? I'd rather shovel pig shit.

 

Our vacation time is rewarded on a bi-weekly basis, and no use it or lose it until you get to the cap. I work tonight then get three off for my first long weekend of the year.
Kind of like carpentry work, but I'd rather shovel pig shit than do plumbing work!

well 4 more hours till im out, then one more day, and im back to days for a couple weeks.

 

Ugh, might as well just stay up late with everyone else! Starting Monday we're going in to turnaround for about 2 months. So 2 months of night shift with about 3-4 days off lol. Mondo OT though!
