It’s not that I feel bad, just beat down. Winter time, give it up, dark and cold after work. Summer has the daylight but hot as hell. Which equals out, to the wore out..

The spring and fall are easier on me to say…. Yeah, I’ll do it when I get off work.

I haven't torn my 5 speed down but I did tear another gm 5 speed down, the shift forks were similar and also cheaply made, it seams these days that nothing is built to really last.

It seems if you want good quality parts you have to search around quite a bit.
Lots of Chinese junk out there.

True that. Call me crazy… I have a strange suspicion that the old iron from the 70’s and earlier will live on forever. This new stuff of the last, say, 20-30 years will not have a chance at all. Will never go the distance.

    just me though.

I think you are right, lots of the cheaper car are pretty much disposable.

All of them in my opinion.

I mean, you can still find a PCM for an 80’s through 90’s vehicle. But I think the flashing/programming is starting to fall off. Not many places are going to keep that stuff on hand forever, for the might be used situations.

But then… whudda I know. Just rambling out loud.

True that, the auto makers are making it harder and harder to mess with the computers.
