Whoooo!!! It was raining when I got up this afternoon, so I left 15 minutes early since rain apparently means drive 5mph on the interstate around here. My normal hour to hour fifteen drive to work took two hours fifteen minutes. Fantastic.

Your current commute sounds amazing. The long drive is what I pay for living in a small town and working in a big city. I'd rather make my drive than live around here though. I enjoy having room to do what I want at home

yeah, ill have a thread over here, and maybe one on Grassroots Motorsports. im currently running a 99 Cavalier in Stock FWD in SCCA Rallycross, but the rear subframe and suspension mounts exploded at the last event, i found out they are basically held together with a lot of rust and a prayer. so im just gonna run it until the suspension falls off, its a FWD the suspension out back is just to hold up the bodywork anyway, hopefully it will make it the last three events of the season lol. heres a pic of that POS

Just got home, one more to go!

I didn't realize until I saw your post that was your build. Been following it on its page, very cool to see someone take racing by the roots and build a race car out of whatever you can find for not a terrible amount of money. I'm looking forward to seeing how the new one turns out. Hopefully it's already at home with you

Yup. if the subframe didnt explode in the cavalier, id be prepping it for another season, but that car was a learning experience in a lot of ways. It taught me how to drive a stick, it taught me about inspecting cars before buying them, all the DMV garbage about transferring a title but not putting plates on it....

and yes, the focus is now in my backyard, knocked the guy down from $750 to 300, although its scary to drive at the moment, the clutch only halfway disenagees, so it starts and then just goes because it wants to idle at 1700 or so RPM. the quick mess about i had with it leaves me to belive its either a bleeding issue or just a bad master, since the car has a brand spanking new clutch kit in it. also, the car is currently at 202k miles on the original timing belt

Edit, forgot the pic of the new ride

nice to know. im planning on replacing both then, as Focus's semm to have issues with leaky masters anyway, and a slave cylinder isnt much more work.

I have a Gopro already, it will be in the car for whatever stages i end up running, and probably a shit ton of rallycross too since its cheap

I forgot today is a holiday, but its my normal weekend anyway. Would be working it if it wasnt, as airlines dont give you off for holidays.

Edit: Since your here, how close is the clearance between your UCA's and the coils? trying to figure out if im gonna need UCA's....
