well, i know theres a Throttle delay on almost all Drive-by-Wire vehicles. is it a small 1-3 second delay if you really lay on it, or is it just hesitating in general? im a 5spd auto, and if i lay on it, theres a noticable 2 or 3 second delay before the engine responds

Just driving normal. The thing is, it doesn't do it all the time, when it's not doing it, it will run like a scolded dog. And, I have not had a cel come on.

hmmmm.... whats your mileage look like? Engines need three things to run, fuel, air and spark. since you have already rules out air and spark, fuel is where the issue lies. seeing that your a 2005, id suspect the fuel filter might need to be changed, or worst case scenario, your fuel pump is going up.

Isn't the fuel filter in tank along with the pump?

Maybe a throttle position sensor. But it's non removable on the throttle body. Got too buy a new throttle body for that one. May just take it to the stealership and see what they say.

might not be a bad idea if they wont charge just for taking a look. FSM dosent turn up much in the way of troubleshooting something like that

    Yup!

Have you removed the secondary air filter? My hesitation went away with the removal of said filter. After 144K miles I doubt it's doing it's job anymore (soak up fumes in the intake after shut down) It's located directly behind the primary air filter.

The "carbon filter"? I'll remove that's bastard tomorrow, been thinking about doing it anyways. Thanks for all the info/help. I posted this in the "correct thread", didn't get much help.
