i like a little overtime but not that much!!!

 

Holy shit how did I miss this one...I'm a 10 hour night shifter. 8p to 6:30a T-F-S-S.

 

i do 10 as well 9-7, but my days rotate

 

Ah back to the grind... How you guys been?

chillin, playin w/ the mut. he loves to plat fetch. everytime I thow his Kong to him he gets so excited, it's like I have never thrown it to him bfore

I do tens also. Its kinda good being in k9 cause i get 5 hours a week for care and maint of the dog. so it's 10 hours over a 2 week pay period. like having a free day. I only work 70 hrs every 2 weeks but get $ for 80

 

Thats nice! is he a drug dog?

 

eh it has it's moments. Like i kenneled my guy for 4 days while we went outta town. When I picked him up he lost 6 pounds and caught a bug. he would not stop puking at the house for an entire day! the wife was soooo pissed. The pup is much better now. Gsd's have a telpermental stomach. The filled him full of xanax at the vet cause he's such a spaz and attacks the vet staff. he got a bad reaction from that and whatever else they had festering in the dam place.

is he good at his job?

 

yep. one our best. he is getting better all the time. he is still young when he gets more mature he will be unstoppable.

 

how many years will he work?

 

till they can't anymore. usually around 7-8 years. A smaller dept round here had one that was 12. my last dog worked 5 then got injured biting a guy out of a stolen car. he never recovered. He lives at my house now. poor pup still limps to this day.

 

I have a lab that's just like that....but his vice is tennis balls.

haha. yeah it doesn't matter what it is to be honest. he came back one day with my gutter down spout. I almost killed him..lol. We usually don't throw tennis balls cause we had one of our idiots swallow one and almost die. just be careful

 

oh the idiot was not the handler by the way...on second thought he is an idiot but he didn't swallow a tennis ball tho..

 

I can relate....ours has chewed the garden hose in half, the house (vinyl siding), a ladder......basicly everything in the back yard. He's smart as all get out but a destructive little shit. He's not quite a year old so I hope he outgrows the chewing.
