Usually there's one other person, but he's on vacation. They fired 2 guys back in May and have been dragging their feet like fucking sloths to hire replacements. I work public safety at a university. If shit goes down it's simply unsafe that I'm by myself. The first weekend of school I had to send a kid off to the hospital when I was the only one working. It was hard to keep the other kids noses out of what was going on and direct and get information from the local cops and EMTs. Just stupid on their part of liability. The kid wasn't too bad off or else it could have been a worse situation.

most definitely. I did security at a theme park (real small/ kinda shitty one). Midnights and offseason shifts even had 3 people on at all times. working those shifts? We had 45 minutes of real work. The rest was sitting around the office or dicking around in the park for entertainment. Camera's covered most of what needed patrolling.

i definitely spend a LOT of time on netflix  foxsoccer2go and tacomaworld are close behind in terms of bandwidth

my job is so hurry up & wait that I have periods of time-sensitive, hard work, followed by hours of relative inactivity
