    Night shift supervisor here.

Quick question; the Tacoma brakes are typically decent, right? I just picked up an '05 and couldn't notice how spongy the brakes are. Everything is brand new on it...I am thinking a bleed should take care of it. The brake pedals is literally sinking to the floor before stopping.

The truck heavy (ARB F/R, 33s), but not that heavy.

One more thing; I have a non-JBL unit...is a JBL head unit a plug and play upgrade?

Definitely sounds like it needs a bleed or a caliper has a sticky piston.

TThose should help push them 255's out a bit. How much clearance do you think you need?

Not too much. Maybe .75" The wheels I have are .6" more inset than the stockers and the spacers are 1.25" So it'll clear the frame with a bit extra. Gonna have to trim some plastic and possibly CMC but that's easier than frame rub. But they are really tucked right now. So spacer will help look too.

Doubt you will have to cmc. Just trim the plastic and take a hammer to the pinch weld and lay it flat.

Will be the first things. Then I'll stuff them and find any flexed rub points if any. Hopefully just plastic and pinch weld will do it.
