You are gonna be sorry you asked.

As for projects, nothing too detailed...if you get sent the correct partso_O. Ordered new hubs for my Jon boat trailer. I was just going to get seals and bearings, but saw on Amazon that for $26 each I could get hubs, bearings and seal. that's like only $3 more than the rebuild kit. So I said why not? Nothing wrong with having some spare hubs on hand.

New hubs show up quickly and look like good, 3.5K hubs. I'm happy I get to play in the shop for an hour or so and drink a couple beers. Basically time to get my head together because it is my stress free zone...

Anyways, pack the new bearings with grease, install seals and install hubs on the spindles. The sound of (or lack of sound actually) new hubs is just pleasing to me.

I mount up the first tire and get the lug nuts torqued down and head to the opposite side to mount the last tire. They are only 13" tires, so they aren't stupid heavy, but I just can't get the bolt holes lined up. Tried for some time and I'm not getting it to happen. That's when I got a strait on look at the hub and bolt holes...I got sent the wrong, fucking hub! At least one fit like its supposed to. Meanwhile, while I wait on another hub kit, the hoist is blocked from me doing any other work because the trailer only has 1 wheel.

Oh, and to make matters worse, I dropped the bearings from the old hubs in the scrap iron barrel. I'm a dumbass sometimes.

On the plus side, the job is pretty quick. It only took Amazon 2 days for the hub kits to show, so maybe when I get up on Saturday, there will be the proper hub on my door step. Guess who will be checking the hub/wheel fit ass soon as that prick comes out of the box?

And the wife is sick while I got all this work and no way to get out of it. Look up Hypothyroidism for some interesting reading. I will be Doing all cooking, cleaning and anything else involving the running of a household. Hopefully the meds will kick in and she can get back to normal.

Sorry about the rant. Started typing and words just kept on vomiting out. Send us all some funny shit.

I'm heading out to check out an unknown chemical spill and to see what I needs to be done to dispose of it properly.

    Will report in later.

Sounds like a normal shop experience from my point of view  or maybe that's just me. 2 day shipping is a savior, but sometimes, if it's a not super important part, I'll just hit up O'Reillys in town. Sorry about the wife. Hope the meds kick in and she feels better. My mom has the opposite with Hyperthyroidism. Been on pills for that the past couple years. pretty well regulated now.

Got on a kick with this guys channel: Has a lot of good Honest Chevy commercials too.

I like that even his name tag says "Mahk" to reflect the Boston accent.

Contrary to popular belief, we dont' all sound like that. It's extremely embellished and only concentrated in very small areas. That guy is supposedly from Haverhill; right on the border of NH, pretty far outside Boston and not very authentic.

    How bout 'dem apples....?

Well that's my bad . Kind of like how we in the south get lumped in as talking a certain way too even though a ton of people don't talk with a drawl.

I too often embellish my "accent" when we travel so people don't ask where we're from.

I went to Alabama for a wedding a few years back and that sure was an experience...

Liar! I can hear the super thick over-accent accent from the way you type  TV shows and movies back up the stereotype.

How bout dem apples you say?....

I kid, I kid :D But your quote made me immediately think of this scene

Wish I could get overtime here, I'd do everything I could to work my tail off to have the truck paid off in a year or so.
