I noticed this problem a week or so ago. My passenger head light went out(low beam). I figured bad bulb but before I bought a new bulb I swapped bulbs and both sides started working. I drove around and the passenger bulb went out again. I pull the plug and the light and re install it and it will work again and of course ill drive a little bit and it will go out. The high beams will work all the time.

I took the back off the plug and cleaned out some of the dielectric grease, it looked really gunked up and black. started working but went out again.

This is starting to become really aggravating and i hate something not work correctly.

    Any suggestions would be awesome.

Wiggle the wires on the connector. Does it flicker? Found your problem. Pinpoint the problem first. Then replace that part. Headlights are a pretty simple circuit.

If its the pins in the headlight connector, you could probably get a new pigtail.

Yea I've wiggled them no flickering. It only works after I remove the connecter and plug it back in. Then after riding a bit it will go out again.

You need to check to see if you have power at the plugs with a volt meter. Bulbs can intermittently work sometimes, even if the filaments are broke. If each end of the filament make contact they can hold and light up. I've had this happen quite a few times. Then they will turn off if the filaments seperate.

Push in all the wires. Probably loose.

Pulled the bulb out and now the filament is broke. So I put in my spare bulb still not working. Now I'm gonna try with the drivers bulb to see what happens.

Used a volt meter. Low beams on there is not any voltage showing. High beams I'm getting 11. Whatever. Must be a loose connection.

I know this a bit old, but any issues since replacing the fuse. Mine are doing the same, i haven't replaced the fuse yet, it is just strange that it would ever work if the fuse is out... right?

That's my thought, fuse would be all or nothing.

Either way, checked mine and they're fine, so my problem is likely the harness.

All the wiggling and the light going off and on will also blow a fuse. The lamp was probably flickering due to a loose connection when driving down the road also.
