I don't like how far forward the headrests on my '11 tilt. I have turned them backwards and that's too much the other way. Has anyone bent the rods to change the angle? I tried quickly but they seem pretty hard and will take some effort to do, if it's possible at all. I was thinking slipping a small piece of pipe of them for leverage. Anybody done this?

Yes, but it was not all that easy. I put a box wrench (3/8"?) I my bench vise to hold the post right at the padded end and put a 2' long pipe over the post. It took some work and a bit of experimentation to get the angle right, but it is much better now.

there is a TON of crash and survive-ability science behind everything about those
headrests. I would not mess with them one bit.

But it's only going to be a 1 in a million chance you are gonna be affected, so not trying to be a nanny here, but know that...the angle of the dangle has been engineered, not just slapped up. off my soap box.

Wrap one leg of the headrest in a rag. Lock that leg in a vice. Pulling the other leg towards you lean into the head rest w ur chest. Bend each leg the same amount back to your liking. There are threads on this with pictures. Much more comfortable.
