Probably going to be buying a new Tacoma in the next few weeks. DCSB, TRD 4x4 auto.

    Two questions.

Is there a big difference in ride and road noise between the Off Road and the Sport? I believe the OR has more aggressive tires.

How is the Nav / JBL package? My experience with factory Nav systems (GM) is that I'd rather stick my $75 Garmin on the windshield and use it. The factory unit had too many nanny controls.

I've only driven a Sport with Nav, need to go back and drive some more, but I'd like some other opinions.

I'm coming from an 04 Dodge Ram 2500 turbo diesel. That truck is a beast, but we're downsizing and I don't need that big truck anymore.

Any of them you get will be quieter than the diesel. :)

The tires are about the only thing that'll give you any road noise difference.

When I bought my truck 6 years ago - the stock tires were plain & car-like. Nothing to hear what-so-ever.

But Wow...the new trucks have Sat Nav in them now? Did they ever add power seats yet??
