5FB5BDC7-EA29-4D7A-BC28-F6BBFA1F43B8.jpg Thanks for the add and for the amazing amount of shared information here. This is our new to me 2017 TRD Off Road. We bought it with about 12K miles on it back in October and we absolutely love it. My wife’s baby is her 2013 JKU and now I have mine! I figured I would share a couple of impressions, which I’m sure will not come as any surprise to the veteran Taco owners.
    1. I was pleasantly surprised that the truck was capable of getting 20MPG. We averaged that on a trip to Gatlinburg. I also discovered that I was not a fan of cruise control in the mountains.
    2. I like where the truck shifts with the ECT on, which of course is just a personal preference. It has plenty of power, you just need to push the skinny pedal to find it.
    3. The projector halogens put out plenty of light but I wanted to match the DRLs. I opted for the Extreme Pro LED bulbs from Xenon Depot. And because I just couldn’t keep the the halogen fogs, they got replaced with Morimoto fog lights. I wanted to keep the OEM look. Like others have said, I don’t believe the throw is any further but the color temperature gives you the perception of seeing better.
    4. I have only taken it off road in the sand of the Ocala National forest. In 4 low w/ the locker engaged it never came close to getting stuck. I did stay away from the mud and water.
I’m sure I will add upgraded suspension, a front bumper, and lights as time goes on. Enjoying it stock for a while and look forward to learning its stock capabilities. Our Jeep has a simple OME 2” lift which we love and I’m happy to see it’s also well thought of in the Taco. I like the stock wheels and will probably add Spydertrax wheel spacers for a more aggressive stance. The sunroof is nice and I use it more than I thought I would and while a more adjustable seat would be a plus, it seems to work just fine for me. Thanks again for the add!

Welcome to TW! Sharp looking truck maybe I will see it on the road in Orlando. My son lives there, though he has a Jeep too bad for him.

Welcome to TW! Florida doesn’t have the off-roading found in the Leftern side of the country, but we have scrub pine and plenty of rattlesnakes to compensate. From Ormond Beach I have travel to get some 4x4 time on the transfer case. Always looking to explore the inner passages of our great state tho.

Tires will be your first upgrade if you plan on venturing off the tarmac. Looks like you have 16”s and there are a lot of choices on the market and also a lot of opinions on what’s the best here on TW. Enjoy your stock Taco while you save your dollars for the future build we expect to see and hear about!
