Yeah, I was completely satisfied - except I was hoping for a little better price. But, I had been wanting a taco ever since the 2nd gen's came out... so what's a man to do?

Just busting your chops... A friend of mine bought a Tundra from Easler. He told me that Easler was good to deal with. I personally didn't want to go through the price haggling. My friend did tell me that Easler gives him a good discount on accessories.

Thanks so much for the report. To me, that is the definition of sleaze. Congratulations on walking out the door, and better yet, getting what you really wanted. I had heard good things about Barkley, but all it takes is one salesperson behaving that way to make someone like me look elsewhere.

Maybe start another thread (if you haven't already) on your truck? I'll be anxious to hear your impressions of the six speed!

PS If I can figure out how to give you rep on this, I want to. Following up on your experience with the buy is hugely helpful.

Bad part about it... he was the SALES MANAGER... so its not like he had to track a manager down to discuss prices/financing, etc.. I mean, Jim Barkley has lots more to choose from, but if you can at all swing it, give Bryan Easler a shot. Of course, it didn't help that we went in on a Sat (limited time in NC at this point in my life) and they were super busy. But still, no excuse. Anyways, I will start a thread on my truck sometime soon.. Right now I am in the middle of an ice storm in OK. So, I will try and take some pics in the 4 months that I am here. Thanks for the post!! So far, I'm diggin the 6 speed.

Wow. The sales manager. Now we are talking seriously screwed up. As I get closer to purchasing this spring I will definitely check out Bryan Easler.

(Up here in Boone we are bracing for the weather you have just been through. We are supposed to get at least a foot of snow starting right around kid-pick-up time at after-school. I love how my '98 handles the snow/ice challenges though, so don't have too worry to much. I worry more about the other drivers, unfortunately.)

9" so far in Boone. Hope it keeps up, at least for a while. 26 degrees, great conditions - for me. :)

Sorry about all that ice in OK. Sounds tough. Hope we don't end up there, too, with the tail end of the storm. For now, we are doing well.

About 3" of snow last night then 1.5" of sleet this morning. Awesome last night but a complete hockey rink this morning. I was out a bit and the streets were covered in a solid white sheet. No troubles, just lots of idiots on the road who don't know how to drive in ice.
