    Hello from the lowcountry!

Finally bought a 2017 DC trd Off Road this week.

First Tacoma, but not my first toyota.

    previous ones were
    1999 4Runner 4x4
    2006 4runner
    2006 tundra crewmax
    2015 tundra crewmax sr5 4x4
    2016 tundra crewmax limited 4x4

Hoping to like the Tacoma. The tundra is a great vehicle, but was awkward to park and felt it had bad blind spots. Loved the 5.7 but don't need the towing ability "I hope"!

Been reading here for a week and to say I am overwhelmed is an understatement.

One dislike so far is the transmission/engine in the lower rpm 1500-2300 range. Hoping it will get better as I learn the truck and it learns my driving style. I fully understand it is not a 5.7 and I am ok with that.

Welcome! I don't own a 3rd gen, but from what I understand the low end doesn't have much oomph. Supposedly it wakes up in the higher RPMs though and is nice and quick.
