    Hello everybody.

I’ll start with a little background information about myself in the automotive aspect. As a child I was big into anything with an engine on it. When I received my first car I started to tinker with it and instantly knew automobiles were a passion of mine. I went to college and earned my BAS in automotive technology. I currently work in the heavy equipment industry as an aftermarket parts dealer but am actively looking to move and work as a service manager.

My first car was a 99’ Pontiac Grand Prix GT, the silverbullet. The parents didn’t want the higher cost of insurance so I was stuck with a naturally aspirated v6 and as a high schooler all I wanted was more speed. Less than 6 months of driving I tore the top end off and put on a factory supercharger from a junker. Higher compression with a smaller pulley and a proper tune she was fun to drive. I miss the whine the most.

My next vehicle was a 03’ Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, white in color. The roads were terrible where I attended college and scraping the Grand Prix on every dip and bump was getting obnoxious. My mom had the Jeep since new and was looking to get something new for herself so I bought the Jeep off her for the low. Never got too crazy with modifications. Had a budget 2” lift with 33” tires. She lasted me a solid three years until she burned up too much oil and threw a rod.

After the Jeep came a 13’ Kia Optima SXL. I bought it used with around 25k miles. I was commuting roughly 60 miles a day for work so I figured it was time to go with a four cylinder to save some money on gas. Put nearly 16k miles on it each year. I’m 6’6 so getting in and out of the car was becoming a pain and it developed a steering issue that I could not fix myself. I paid the car off in January and I just wasn’t happy with the car anymore.

Not having a car payment was a great feeling but I could only make it 5 months before committing to something new. I was torn between a Wrangler and the Tacoma. The Wrangler I wanted was $5-6k more than the Tacoma I wanted. Also after some research and forum hopping I decided the Tacoma was the way to go.

I went with a 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport in white. Nothing to crazy about the particular model but came with the tech package and I’m absolutely in love with it after 2,000 miles.

I guess this is just an introduction page so I’ll save the modifications for a build page. Looking forward to contributing to the shenanigans on this forum!

    Thanks for reading!
