    Any help here is appreciated...

    I found the following link:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-backspacing-and-offset-info.102992/

But I still can’t figure out the mental math (or on paper for that matter). I have stock wheels on a 2017 Tacoma with 285/70/17 tires. Stock wheel size is 17x7.5, with 30mm offset. I also have 1.25” wheel spacers on the truck. I’m trying to figure out what wheel width/offset combination I need to look for to remove the spacers and keep the wheels at least as far out as they are now, and maybe just a tiny bit more. Looks like most wheels are in the 8-9” wide range.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
It helps if you convert everything to imperial or metric first, then simply do math. It's not common core and quite frankly good enough works for most of us on here.

Sat down and drew several drawings to compare wheels/specs. That helped. Took a while to get the base drawings correct, but made repeating for different wheels very easy. Thanks for the help guys.

    Hey Pete,

Here your current set up now. "Stock wheel 17x7.5, with 30mm offset(=5.5"bs). I also have 1.25” wheel spacers."

    5.5"bs -1.25" spacer =~4.25"bs

You can go with something in the range of 17x8.5 with 4.3"bs or 4.5"bs. This will allow you to run your current 285/70/17 tires without the need for spacers. It will sit ~0.5" to 0.8" wider than you current set up. This is because stock is 7.5" wide and most after market wheel will be in the 8.5"-9.0" wide range.
