Have a 2009 2WD Tacoma with 140000km. Very utilitarian and a great truck.
It had the Toyota frame inspection and is going in for their 3 day undercoating fix. Any tips?

Welcome to TW! I've seen a few people mention that random things weren't re-installed correctly (or re-installed with loose parts) after getting the frame replaced. Guess it depends on your dealership and their rep.

If you live in salt country, and you already have rust (just not penetration) their treatment is reportedly inadequate. It's like putting lipstick on a pig. Looks good for a while, but doesn't really create the protection needed.

So you will have a few choices.

    1) Trade/sell soon after the treatment so you can honestly say 'frame passed inspection, has been treated by Toyota'

    2) Treat it yourself annually with Fluid Film or the like

    3) Let it ride. Monitor and have reinspected prior to your opportunity window closing. Expect a failure and replacement at that point.

    4) Let it ride. Miss the window of opportunity and suffer a failure. Come to TW and whine about how unfair Toyota is.

    Don't be that guy in #4 ;)
