Have been running D2S morimoto in my retros for approx 3 yrs.

About 2 months ago I used my battery to jump a car. After doing so, the drivers side bulb would work only in spurts. However, now it has not fired up for almost 2 months (dont lecture me, I almost never drive at night).

I swapped the ballasts and ingniters for the setup, yet the problem does not follow to the other side. I am guessing that maybe some current impacted the bulb and now the iodes in sides were "aged"/blown out, thus not allowing it to fire up now.

Is there any additional test I can or need to do to confirm it's the bulb? I want to make sure if I am going to order a replacement pair it cant be anything else.

    Thanks in advance.

Check the positive cable from the battery to that driver side bulb alone
I had the similar problem on my wife’s corolla (retrofit) and I found a faulty wire; at times the bulb would flicker or wouldn’t turn on but now it’s never once failed

Also check the connections/terminals of the relay socket (part that relay plugs into) and make sure its tight. I had a similar issue where I was swapping parts and it was intermittent until I realize it was the terminals of the relay socket.

But your process of elimination was pretty good. Usually when it flickers like that it's a bad bulb, at least in my case.
