Right on! I had to turn my heat down when I painted them. They hold heat for a long time. I waited hours for them to cool enough to paint.

Forgot to add. I had an electrician swap out all of the outlets & light switch. The system & wiring is grounded, but non grounded outlets (the originals from 1964) were installed. 6 new outlets and 1 new switch. He only charged me $60.

I got the fridge out, repaired walls, raised receptacle like others, and got rest of wall cabinets up.
I'm a plumber by trade so take it easy....:crapstorm:

    Base cabinets next.
But i have a question for a carpenter.
The existing base cabinet is on slab and tiled around. It's coming out and another next to it on tile. I may gut tile and stain slab but not just yet. Should I score the tile and raise cabinets? I don't want cabinets to be recessed in tile in case of spills or they'll be wasted.
    Any advice is appreciated.

Most cabinets are tiled up to....you will always have tile that sits higher than the cabinets. Otherwise it's a waste of materials. Hope that answers your question.

Wouldn't new toe kick solve that problem fairly easily?

Got the room all back together with new full size bed and some of the furniture that was previously in the room. Put that old oil lamp that I restored on the dresser. The 2 dressers are Maine made Moosehead Furniture (went out of business years ago). Will make a very nice guest room. Need to find a couple of things to hang on the walls.

The cabinets would be different height. He either needs to cut the cabinet or the tile out.

Having a problem with my spot lights on the corners of my house. They are on a three way switch( not that it matters) but one will not shut off. I tried a but bunch of things. I lowered sensitivity, I cleaned motion detector. With no
change. Could it be the sensor is bad? They are only 2 years old.

I've decided to cut all the tile out and may put feet on cabinets so they won't be recessed. I like a higher toe kick with my big feet. And in case of spills and such I don't want the cabinets to soak it up. I may get a wild hair someday to remove tile and stain slab. I've grown to hate tile floor.

Finished up making a new coffee table set. Two end tables and the coffee table. All construction grade 2x4,2x6 and 2x2s. I also build cabinet grade furniture so this was a walk in the park. Tv stand and bookshelf to follow. About $100 and solid wood vs the $1800 pressboard set they're based off of. Just moved across the country and we're renting for a few more months until we figure out where to settle down so it's nice to have time to do 'fun' projects like this instead of housework.

I put an IKEA kitchen in once and that's almost exactly what they use. Actually makes for a very easy install.

@Kolunatic something like this would be beneficial if you're dead set on raising the cabinets because of the removable kickplate. Keep in mind one downside of not tiling up to the cabinet (and having the kickplate recessed) is that all kind of crumbs and any spills will go under your cabinets quickly. If you don't have removable kickplates that alone is reason enough for me to install them the traditional way. I hear your concern about spills hurting the kick board, but honestly it's partly there to keep shit from getting under the cabs. I'd rather have to wipe them off when a soda spills than have the soda roll right under them and be impossible to clean. You could also buy a strip of vinyl baseboard and cut it to length and adhere as one piece to all cabinet kickplates at once if you're really concerned about the kickplates taking spills.

Had the same thing in the CB box for the garage when we bought the house. Changed the entire box out for conventional circuit breakers and got rid of the old screw in fuses.
