Multiple thin coats are better than 1 thick coat.

Coverage is usually in the small print on the can. Or you can ask a employee at the store.

 

Two coats of primer sealer (last one was Kilz premium) and I can still see the old drywall. I guess I'm going to have to deal with it. I don't have enough to lay another coat down and the costs are racking up. In other news, I'm ready to move my racks back and start parking my baby in the garage again!

 

Gotta love builders of track homes, always go with the cheapest labor possible. Only upside is I had the demo done on the shower walls in about 45 minutes. Spot mortar on top of painted and textured drywall in a shower, no wonder the tiles sounded hollow when you tapped on them

Drilling the holes to drop the cable through and I managed to shear the 1/4" bit drive portion, the cutting portion is stuck 12"+ into the floor truss and the bit portion is stuck in the end of the 6" extension
Looks like I'll be drilling another hole after I buy a new bit and possibly extension.

Installed a couple of these 14" Lomanco turbine vents recently on our old house. The internal machined brace, spindle / hub were all high quality. A breath of fresh air. I can see why they warranty them for lifetime.






The fucked up attic fans with seized motors that were replaced. What pieces of shit.

 

I hired a contractor to do attic cleanup. They have industrial vacuum with a big fucking hose and suck out all the shit and make it pretty clean.

FML though, they didn't to the greatest job, and have to have them out a second time.

Also did a bunch of hole sealing on top plates, around fixtures, etc.

Asbestos abatement, replaced boots

full HVAC reduct, rewrapped plenum box, new condensate pump

 

I should have done that when I tore down my plaster ceiling.....insulation everywhere (house was empty)...Oh well.

 

It was worth the cost.

 

Installed some structured cabling.

Always a pain to do this in a finished house. I only succeeded in part because lower part of house was tore apart due to some extensive issues with copper drains rotting out a little over a year ago.

my oldest kid is a phenom, helped label, terminate, and test cables.

this project enabled me to deploy proper wireless throughout house.

 

Recently hired the best tree trimmer ever.

5 man crew made it all go away in 8 hours.
