    Greetings --

So I was driving around today, and out of nowhere my horn just started to go off. If I pressed the horn down it would stop, but then it would start again. I guess the horn switch is jammed or something? I pulled the horn relay as a temporary solution. Anything I should look at before I take it in for repair?

    Thanks for your help

Have you had the spiral cable recall done yet?
That is a potential source of the problem... shorted out.

Or do you have young kids around? Lots of coins have found their way into the contacts before, playing vending machine or something.

Nah, no kids, just me. Is there anyway to check the contacts?

Not sure how to pull the horn cover assembly off on a Tacoma. Maybe someone else will chime in?

It's a part of the airbag assembly. You can't get to the contacts directly. Likewise, nothing can "fall" into the contacts.

Turns out it wasn't the clockspring, the right side of the horn was just jammed. Took it to Toyota and they fixed it for free. Now I can honk at people again.
