I can't quite tell whats going on in those photos, top image looks like something is popping through the top or broken? Bottom image looks fine.

May just want to contact Icon and show them these photos

If it is the top hat, I would investigate further on why or how that happened.... coil bind etc

Not saying it's the cause, but it looks like you have more preload than the recommended max:

    From install instructions:
    4. 2016-UP TACOMA MODELS REQUIRE MORE PRELOAD (THAN 2005-2015 MODELS) TO ATTAIN LIFT,
DO NOT EXCEED 2.13” OF EXPOSED THREADS.

I would say that you put so much pre load into your coil spring that at full compression it is binding and your entire coil over assembly is acting like a solid metal bump stop. It is transferring all that force into the stock coil
Buckets which were not designed to be a bump stop pad.
You need new top hats for the coil overs and also to repair / reinforce the damaged stock coil buckets .

sorry I don’t know what this mean. Does this mean my coilovers are too stiff? I should expose less thread? Is this easy to do? I have the spanner wrench.

if you have a small coil spring between your fingers you can squeeze it and make it smaller. At some point u keep squeezing till the coil spring can’t compress anymore cuz it’s all bunched up and the individual coil loops are all pressed together with no where to go. That’s what happened to your coil
Spring around the shock when you compress the suspension a lot .

Not shit suspension, just bad setup. Think of it as putting a 1 ton payload in your bed. Your leaf springs arent rated for that, and will bottom out, putting the burden on your tires, axle assembly, and spine.

yes it can ride better with less exposed threads. There will be a sweet spot and you want to get the adjusting nut to right before the ride gets too stiff for you. This maybe less than the icon recommended max distance.

    Yes, less cool.
But the people who think that’s cool in the first place ,are generally illiterate handicaps with zero skills and abilities in life . But now that you are enlightened and knowledgeable from this learning experience you too can look down upon the peasant with their “lift spacers” or TRD pro “fox suspension”.
