Image loading threshold

First world problem here, but image loading can significantly bog down the browser, especially in threads with large amounts of images on a single page. To the point that pages are mostly unreadable on mobile with poor internet connection.

Many options to address this. I propose setting an image threshold such that if a single page (or maybe post) has greater than x amount of images, the viewer will be prompted to manually accept loading of the images. Otherwise the accompanying text can be viewed with non loaded images.

It’s not enough of an issue for me to bother with disabling images.

Just wanted to throw the idea out there as a potential future improvement. Doubt it’ll ever make the cut, but you never know.
