Plug in the yellow and red wire that look like old tv audio plugs into the back of the radio. Hook up the remote line to the back of the radio, run the hot wire off the battery, through the firewall to the amp. Run your ground off the amp. Run your power and ground wires out of the amp to the sub. Simple.

Also make absolutely sure you install a fuse near the battery, so when your 00 gauge welding cable shorts out, it doesn't burn your truck to the ground.

Does the head unit have a sub out? If yes, use it to connect to the SW amp. If not, then does your SW amp have a line in. If yes, use it to connect to the headunit. If not, maybe time to re-architect the design.

You have to consider the size and number of subs you plan on using and their mounting locations then buying the proper amp size to power them. The only space I have seen subs in a tacoma that would work is using the storage space under the rear seats for a couple of small subs.

Get a box and put it behind the driver rear seat, or get the JL Audio stealth box that goes behind the passenger back seat. For more custom options talk to @Mr Marv.

Also, there is an audio/video forum on here dedicated to all things audio/video.

Hey man the best thing to do would be to watch some youtube videos. start there and see what all it entails and then decide if its something you want to tackle on your own. Also ask any friends you have if they have ever installed an amp in a car. They can help supervise and drink free beer.

Its not hard to do, but you will be required to run some wires which will include running a large cable through your firewall, and running some cables from the back of the headunit to where you want your amp installed.

There are also sub&amp combos, meaning both are in a single enclosure, some will mount them behind the seats, some under the seats.

what parts are you trying to see?? There are a ton of videos on there that show all aspects of an install.
you can unbolt the driver/passenger seat. 4 bolts and a couple harness to unplug and the seat comes right out.

I found this video extremely helpful and covers everything you need to know. Adding a subwoofer is extremely easy to do, especially if you have an aftermarket headunit.

    https://youtu.be/eidK7FNI0GA

Edit: I see you have a XAV5000. I have one too, and for the subwoofer output on the headunit it is a single RCA. You will need to purchase an RCA splitter so you can have 2 outputs for left and right outputs.

Read the manual for your headunit. They’re all different.

Looks like blue/white stripe will be your remote wire to the amp.

I would search through the “audio and video” section of TW. Lots of great writeups buried in there.

I went with one of the kits off of Amazon. Just search for a subwoofer wiring kit. If you don't already have one, you'll need an add an amp adapter IF you're still running your stock head unit. This is another item you can find on Amazon.
