I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner SR5 V6 with Automatic Transmission. Randomly when I turn on the air, it blows warm air through the vents. The warm air sometimes seems to be coming out at a low volume. Sometimes I have to turn the air off and on a few times for it to work correctly. Today I turned on the air and it was barely coming through the vents and sounded like it was trapped inside the dash. The air volume did sound normal and I could feel the coldness. I shut off the air, drove for 5 miles, turned it on and everything was fine. Any ideas?

    Thanks

There are doors inside the A/C that direct air, either from outside or inside (record), through floor, through A/C outlets, through defrost outlets, etc. Sounds like a vacuum leak as a cracked or pinched hose will lower vacuum and fail to activate the doors correctly. Not particularly easy to find, but if you are methodical and check each hose... I'd start under the hood where it is hot and where hoses tend to crack or split at the ends.
