I have an 05 Tacoma Access 2.7L Auto. It did not come with intermittent wipers. Is it possible to convert the standard wiper switch to the intermittent? Thank you

I didn't do it myself, but it's plug and play. Remove steering column and replace 2-speed stalk with a variable intermittent one...

I have done this and yes it’s plug and play but one thing to look out for is if you buy one for a newer model like 2010 and up it will still work but the intermittent speed will work in reverse than normal. Meaning if you turn it up all the way it will make the wipers run slow instead of fast. I don’t remember the part number for a 2005-2008 like taco but maybe someone else on here does.

    Easy peasy.

Searching will find several threads covering it.

Great mod! Actually it's a correction of a factory cheap out......

Nothing to it. Remove the 2 screws holding the steering column cover, remove the cover. Switch is held by a tab, depress that and snap on the new one.

So everything is in the stalk? No relays or modules to add?

    Absotively posilutely, my friend.

Only wiring you do is unplug the 2 clips on the old one and plug in on the new. Zero splicing, adding, or otherwise!

    Same as everybody else...
One of the first things I did when I bought my used Tacoma about 6 years ago. It's super easy, basically plug and play. IIRC I got te stalk off of ebay

What 2007 Tacoma do you have?
I've a 2007 BASE 2wd I did the Cruise switch add and got Cruise control, was hoping a wiper stalk swap might give me intermittent wipers.
Can you provide some more details please?

Did you do this on a 2005-2008 Tacoma? If so, which year? Trim level?
I've a BASE 2007 2WD and would like to upgrade to intermittent wipers but would like some assurance that buying a $180 part will work so I dont blow two bills and my time for naught. Can you help?
