Hello, my name is Bill. I have a silver 2008 double cab Tacoma PreRunner SR-5 RWD. I purchased it new in April 2008, and love errands only a pickup can do, as well as taking it on road trips. I have kept all of the factory maintenance up to date, using mostly Toyota dealers.

One of my favorite adventures was at Christmas time a few years ago. We decided to go to the New Mexico mountains with our daughter, son-in-law, and their two year old son. We decided to take all necessary food and supplies with us, so we wouldn't have to be spending a lot of time at the store. We acquired and loaded all of our assigned supplies and then headed out of the Dallas area for El Paso. At our daughter's home we loaded the rest of the food and supplies, covered with a tarp, loaded up and headed North into the New Mexico mountains. By the time we got there it was snowing heavily with 1 - 2 inches already on the ground. We backed my Tacoma up to the front porch and quickly unloaded everything into the house. Our decision to bring in supplies for the weekend turned out to be a good one because it didn't stop snowing until we had 8 - 10 inches on the ground! Because of the steep mountain roads we could not have gotten out if we needed to.

    Awesome Tacoma strikes again!

    Bill
