Intro

The explanation for "Maunman" is simply that I've spent gobbs of time in Maun, Botswana. Drove almost every iteration of South African-built Hilux and Landcruiser plus the Japanese versions, since direct-from-Japan imports are so prevalent in Bots now.

In the States, owned an '88 4Runner for 15 years and it's currently up for sale. Bought a Toyota "OEM-to-South Africa" diff-lock switch and installed a TRD electric locker with 4:56 ratios, added Cibie headlamps and spots with 10-gauge wiring+relays for 520W worth of light, and quite a few other mods. All that was to say I know my way around Toyota four-wheel drives, but this is a Tacoma forum.

Yesterday, bought my first American-built Toyota truck. It's a 2011 Tacoma 4WD regular cab (love the short wheelbase) that's stock with exception to the leveling kit on the front. I'd kinda like to lift the rear just a little, but it's not a high priority. It came with TRD beadlock-"style" alloys as per Taco and FJ TRD packages.

Also own a 2011 4WD SR5 Premium 4Runner. But this is a Tacoma forum....
