Introduction & problem.

Good morning my fellow toyotians.new member with a problem.I own a 01 trd taco.with 240k on dash.so I believe I have a rear locker not disengaging completely.I'm fairly knowledgeable about mechanics do you think I can open it up and manually release it.and I have an rear diff in my 87' I can swap rear different if the spiders are chipped or damaged to 01.thx.are they compatible?ratio same?

 

Welcome to TW Avi. I would start a specific thread on your rear diff in the 1st GEN section.

OK.thx I just blew out/cleaned to the contacts on locker and turned ign.and I heard it release .going for test drive,fingers x.but thank u for advice still new to me.first time on any site with threads.very helpful.have a good day.
