I bought a '11 Pre-Runner Tacoma last summer with the adapter in the glove box. I never used it and completely forgot about it until today when I needed my owners manual. I plugged my iPhone into it, but all it does is charge. I waited in case it needed to sync, pressed cd/aux, phone unlocked...tried both as a phone and in airplane mode...but nothing changed at all on my radio. Is that bad boy soley for iPods, or is there something additional I need to do with the radio/phone?

I believe it's just for charging don't quote me on it though if your radio is Bluetooth compatible that's what I would do
