    2013 tacoma here

When I click to open the doors once, it unlocks the driver door. When i hit it the second time, it unlocks the rest of the doors and has the whole odometer blink twice. Is that normal? I never took notice of this. I just replaced the interior lights with LEDs and am wondering if that screwed things up?

Is it the whole dash cluster, or the odometer section only? And I assume by blink, you mean the light comes on as though your dash lights come on...

Yes the whole cluster. Turns on, off and on off. Then when you click the remote to lock the doors, it blinks once. (On/off)

Mine does that from my aftermarket alarm but stock it was just the 2 turn signals that light up.

Maybe Toyota changed the new ones to blink.

FWIW my gauge cluster does not blink when I lock / unlock the doors.

My aftermarket car start with keyless entry does this. They wired it up to the running lights. But my OEM keyless entry only flashes the turn signals, and that does NOT affect the dash cluster.

Do you guys think it may be a fuse? Light bulbs are the only thing ive changed that has anything to do with electrical. I did get an alarm system from the dealer when i purchased the car, i just dont remember if it flashed or not. I did change tires but dont think the tpms have anything to do with the blink?

If it was a fuse, the lights wouldn't come on at all. From others' posts, it sounds like this is normal, especially if you have an alarm system, and is nothing to worry about. Keep driving!
