Need opinions on wether or not I got a good deal. Its a 2006 4x4 Tacoma, 4 door with snugtop camper shell. Has leveling kit and rims and tires. 94,000 Miles, Salvage Title, Passenger Airbag deployed. No frame damage

    Still thinking about it.
If you GOT a good deal? As in you already bought it? No worries then. Price seems fair anyway.

35s, flatbed, rhino liner paint, SOS front bumper, JD Fab lca pivot, JD Fab inner fenders and some other stuff.
More info would really help, but if all it needs is an airbag then you did well. I am in the middle of rebuilding a 2007 DCSB and am getting pretty close to the $9000 mark and still need to paint it.

Salvages are hit and miss. They have far less value and are difficult to sell.

I would say yes, but would need a better understanding of what condition its in.

94k miles is pretty low for an 06. My 06 has 104k and I consider it still a baby. As long as it’s not a flood victim or some kind of crazy wreck that totaled it and knocked your front end out of alignment beyond repair, id say 6k is a damn good deal. Just sold one of my tacos, an 08 with 135k miles For 17k. Just a simple fender bender could deploy the airbag. If your front end does end up being screwed up, be a good time to SAS it with the money saved from buying a non salvage title!!

Get you a set of depo factory replacement oem head lights. Bought them for my 06 and love them. Look and function as oem headlights at a fraction of the cost.

You might have misread. It was 9k not 6K, but any idea what it would cost to SAS it?

Ohh...yeah still 9k is a deal if it was just a fender bender. I’m not sure it all depends on how thrifty you can be with finding parts!

Well since the driver side fender doesn’t line up with the A pillar I bet it was more than a fender bender. As long as your happy with what you got and paid for it is all that matters.

You got an okay deal as long as you keep it,reselling a Salvage title very hard too do.I am sure down the line you will find damage that was not fixed properly,or other problems.

Always love to see an alignment spec sheet and an enhanced inspection (depends on the state) on a salvage vehicle. This could be a great deal or a nightmare.

Very very important to check behind the headlights for further body damage.

The radiator core support in these trucks literally falls apart when you sneeze on it so any collision causes future problems

Once you buy a salvage (that checks out, some should NOT have been fixed) drive it to dust or at least to the bottom of the price depreciation. In other words, pile on the miles and sell it in 2026 for 3K w/ 300K miles. No one will care and you drove a dependable vehicle for 1K a year.

But they usually replace that, it's sooo cheap and easy.
If there were frame damage, you can find it. Look close all over that pass. frt. corner. Prob. the front horn.
