    Hi guys,

For anyone who has used the KROWN rust proofing treatment process- have you been pleased or disappointed with the product?

I have used Krown twice before, but never kept my Jeep or Tacoma long enough for rust to really become an issue. I was wondering if anyone has any long term experience relying on the product to keep their Tacos rust free or at least to slow the corrosion process?

Thanks in advance for sharing your valued opinions.

ps. Yes I'm aware that it leaks and is messy for a week or so.

Woolwax for the win, my 15 looked brand new underneath when I traded it in last month. In this lovely salt belt of Massachusetts it protected it amazingly and the frame was about 7 years old.

I’ve had Krown for the past 3 years. It does a great job on everything besides the low hanging bits that get all the spray and abrasives. Those will still get pretty rusty. I’ve been trying different methods to beef up the coating on those parts (the rear diff/axle / trailer hitch/ front lower control arms, etc). This year I tried Krown, followed by rust reformer, followed by Bed liner on those. We’ll see.

Paint usually cracks, so it needs to be repainted there. I paint it there usually and in winter I use fluid film all over my car frame, with my hands using gloves. I rub it everywhere. Also, I pour it in holes and areas where frame can't be painted.

Fluid Film is good for stuff like that, you can literally spray/pour it in areas that you can't reach. This includes tailgate, and frame by holes. Salt gets in there and sits for long time, so if you just pour oil in there it will not let salt sit there.
