I've got a 2013 DCSB with the OR package. I carry probably between 400-500lbs on the back axle all the time (gear and a shell), as well as minor towing and I sometimes put a dirt bike carrier on the hitch. At 2,500 miles, my rear springs are already inverted with maybe 2 inches to the stops. I also have been doing a fair bit of offroad driving, anywhere between dirt roads to gravel washboards to medium grade 4-wheel trails.

Now, I understand the OR package is the only kind of Tacoma that comes with the 3-spring pack anymore, the reason given being the 3-spring pack gives greater articulation for driving offroad.

So the question is, given that I want to both carry a lot of weight as well as take the truck offroad, what direction should I try to go? Will the TSB or an AAL truly hurt the truck's offroad ability? Will the 3-spring pack compromise the truck on-road, especially as it gets older and the springs sag further?

Note that I don't haul monster loads, and I don't expect it to tackle trails like a modified Jeep. I just want "acceptable" to "good" in both categories.

    Thanks!

^^Go for the Dakars or something similar...Expo's maybe with the weight. 3 leaf on my 13 DCLB with AAL are WAY better but far from awesome.

Blargh. A Dakar leafpack is an awfully expensive "fix" for something that shouldn't be broke
