    hi all,
would like to get some recommendations on how to hook up all these lights

1pr 55w Koito's w/ 30-40 amp relay= + going from relay to batt.(w/15 amp fuse) and + from switch (w/15 amp fuse) also going to batt.

1pr 55w PIAA's w/ 30-40 amp relay= + going from relay to batt.(w/15 amp fuse) and + from switch (w/15 amp fuse) also going to batt.

    1pr 55w lights= + from switch (w/15 amp fuse) going to batt.

1 single 55w light= + from switch (w/15 amp fuse) going to batt

1 single 55w light= + from switch (w/15 amp fuse) going to batt.

I have a total of 7 fused + wires going to the battery. Last night I ran the
1pr 55w PIAA's only and this morning battery was almost dead. It finally started after I took off the *main wire. (sounds like a constant batt. drain coming from this but not sure yet)

    * main wire=is a amplifier cable (not sure of gage) approx. 1/2 in dia. that I used to run the 7 (14 gage) wires into. (the main wire then goes into the batt.)

Should the + wires (5) coming from the switches be going into to ACC or IGN instead?

I thought the batt. could at least handle 1 PR on or do I have the wiring hook up all back asswards?

    thanks

I would look into one of these to clean up your wiring. it will centralize the fuses too.

it sound like you have everything wired correctly. if you are going to run all those lights at once, you would need to run at least 6ga wire to the fuse block. Sounds like you got that covered with the 4ga

I calculate a total 440watt load which is roughly 37amps total.

One set of lights should not kill the battery... unless left on overnight.

You could have something causing a drain on the battery elsewhere.

it could be by a coincidence that the battery is on its last leg or the alternator is on the way out.

man that was a coincidence about the battery...I guess it was going bad. its never give me any trouble lately although I felt it did take an extra few cranks it seemed to start this past weekend. I didn't have a load tester but hooked a multimeter on it and it read 12.7 v....cranked it and it dropped to 6.8 v...kinda remember on a load that it shouldn't drop less than around 10v while cranking, changed it out for interstate, did the load test in the same way and while cranking it read 10.5v....so hopefully that was it and by hooking up the lights its wasnt related (to draining)...(BTW)the battery was 4 yrs old and the alternator puts out @ around 1500 rpm around 13.9 v. So i'll go ahead and leave the lights how I've got them hooked up and see how it goes...oh...that Bluesea ST Blade Fuse Block looks killer...very neat setup...that's why I went fused and straight to the battery with all those wires...didn't want the cluster fluck all up under the dash....thanks
