Well mostly lurker here with a few posts but owned a Tacoma for 1.5 years. 2009 prerunner i4 manual. Tuesday night rear ended hard enough at 45 mph to spin me around and flip my truck on to drivers side and continued scrapping on my side for multiple feet. Entire bodywork driver side ruined, curtain airbags deployed and possible frame tweak drivers side . Don’t know if I’ll get another but it is likely totaled. Do have info about a 2011 4x4 i4 manual access cab with lowish miles for age. They want about 20 k out the door taxes etc all in. Worth it? Need to check frame. Fair value appears around 18k according to autotrader. Try for 18k out the door maybe.

    I hope you are OK.

I think $20K for an '11 i4 is too much, I think $18K is too much. But if that's what you research is saying is a fair deal for the vehicle and miles, try to negotiate the $18K. I just personally would get a V6 for that price.

Tough break. My last Toyota truck was totaled in a rear end collision. Look at it this way, the truck may have saved your life. That's why you drive a quality vehicle. It's worth it.

Unscratched in the accident so yea kept me safe. The 18k 2011 4x4 I was looking at had too much frame rust to even consider it, had signs of rust through in spots. Shame really 62k miles and otherwise good.
