I have never throught about that, it would be hidden and out the way. Not the easiest to adjust while driving but dont think ill need to adjust it too much after I get it tuned in.

Just looked through his build, looks like a decent fit and mine is the same height so it should fit about the same.

Picked up a pioneer avh 4400bh headunit from a gb on here, which caused me to buy some alpine type r speakers to replace all 4 door speakers, which then caused me to buy a alpine pdx-5 amp to run it all. Still need to get all the wiring for it all but the main $$$ stuff is out the way. Should have a decent sounding system in a few weeks :D

    Got everything installed yesterday :D.

Kicking myself for not doing this sooner, this system sounds 100x times better then stock.

Sweeet. I'm there with ya, just can't live with a factory stereo any more. Aftermarket sound so much nicer.

    Thanks Coil!

Yeah man, when I first bought the truck I said I wanted a new sound system, only took 3.5yrs but I finally got it, haha. I had the option to build a decent system or buy a winch to fill in the bumper, looking at how much I drive vs. how much I get a chance to wheel I went with the system .

Hope to move to CO within the next few months and this will benefit on that 26hr drive much more.

That system looks amazing. Looks like exactly what I am wanting to do.

With that JL stealth box, is the back shaped like the plastic storage boxes? Or do you have to trim the plastic out?

    Thanks

Thanks Nick! Not gonna win any contests but its got sum bump to it for sure

Thanks man, you have to cut the storage box to fit it in. After hearing it, I dont have any regrets on losing the storage space.

Awesome! How do you like the Type R components? I know they used to be amazing, wondering if they still are.

Does the set of coax's in the back give sufficient mid's and highs? I am wondering if I will go with 2 sets of components, or a set up like yours.

Thanks again, and sorry for all the questions!

Iv only had them installed for about 36hrs so havnt had much time with them yet. So far they are awesome, the coaxials do a good job on mids and highs, I wouldnt go a different way if I had to do it again. Another member on here has the same speaker set up and he loves his, I think hes ran them for a few years and they still sound great.

No problem with asking questions, its what forums are for
