LOCATION FOR 12 VOLT

I recently just put HID projector headlights with Halos. I'm trying to wire in the RGB (color changing controller) in. I'm wanting to have the Halos on when the key is turned on which requires the controller to have 12 volt switched power and not constant. Does anyone know of a 12 volt ignition location that could be used to do this?

Can come off the turn signal fuse. Or any fuse that only gives power when the key is on.

 

I would think the stereo curcuit would work, too.

 

Tie them to your fog lights?

Used it for a gauge long ago

I just completed some wiring in the engine bay for an isolation relay for a heavy charge wire going to my camper trailer. I picked up IGN+ 12v from the DC/AC inverter relay in the little relay box using a bent spade lug as show in this thread:

Not sure if your truck has this relay, but worth looking into.

 

Come off the EFI. Only comes on when the truck is on.

 

Use the 20a efi fuse. Also if you have a volt meter test inside the fuse box at the points where there is nothing labeled if it has a metal pin. Test for power with key off then key on to be sure
