Personally, I would wait for Toyota to release a factory lift like they did for the 3rd gen’s since that won’t void warranty being a new truck (though it will be overpriced). It will also be specifically engineered to perform with the vehicle which usually does make a little bit of a difference. Avoid cheap spacer lifts and the like if you value ride quality and performance. I’m not a fan of aftermarket wheels, but I do find Nomad’s options to be pretty cool. Lots of options for 33’s, but you might wanna check out Goodyear Territory M/Ts… they are insanely light, look aggressive, relatively cheap, and perform great on pavement too. Not the most durable tire out there but if you aren’t gonna off-road it hard then they are more than capable. I believe they come as stock tires on Broncos with Sasquatch package, Ranger Raptor, and also TRX.

I believe the Tundra TRD lift kit is $3800 installed which isnt a terrible price considering the Kings are $4800 with no installation.

I'll be doing the TRD for the Tacoma for sure

for the 4G taco Kings with Adjusters are $3700, Retail price, which is what they usually go for when they are low in stock, you could get them for less if you are willing to wait a bit ;)

much better shocks than what toyota would give you for the same price. Not that what they give you is bad, its actually pretty good, just not KING/FOX level good.

Doing all of that will kill your gas mileage, FYI.

I'd keep it stock and upgrade the tires to a more aggressive AT until it's paid off... just keep watching FB marketplace and local TacomaWorld sale threads for take-off TRD, Bilstein, or FOX shocks. Don't lift it on the cheap... you'll need new springs front and rear to lift it properly.

If I wanted to have this type of extended offset, do I need to buy aftermarket wheels or can the offset be achieved with just tires? Ideally would want a set that looks good with or without lift.

Sounds like max tires for stock suspension is 33”(?)

That's gonna need some wheels, or a wheel spacer...

Sure hope you’re right. The dealerships I’ve worked with to this point have been nearly useless.

    Yeah.
Sales guys are always clueless. I had to explain the drivetrain difference in the 4Runner Limited and why I wanted that for my wife over the part-time 4WD setup in the Off Road. He had no clue.

On the surface, this sounds like a great kit. I'd be interested in what it uses to raise the rear.

That looks incredible. I'm not sure what the tire or lift size is, but that fitment is a combination of more wheel offset (less backspacing) paired with a wider tire. Where'd you find that picture? If it's a dealer they may have listed the wheels and tires on a window sticker, or you could get a hold of them and just ask. If you don't ask, I will, because that truck looks perfect.
