I had a Chevy as a work car. Exact same sound. It was from damper/blender door getting stuck. Motor would try to move and door would "snap" back making that sound. Chevy had a TSB about it, but with Tacoma, might be dead rodent blocking travel

Toyota says that’s normal. Chevrolet says we’ll fix it one day.

A wider picture would help everyone to see where this connector is. Tech pictures should ALWAYS begin with a wide shot, then a close up of the part in question.

I would wager it's that relay, whatever it is for, I would assume HVAC but I don't feel like looking it up. It's either getting signaled to cycle, or losing power/ground constantly. I would guess the latter. Pop the connector off, check the ground and power. When those come up normal, check the ohms, when that comes up normal, run a voltage drop test.

Here are the locations of the three servos.

It looks like that it is one of them in the picture. If so the topmost one is a pain in the ass. The other two not too bad.

Looking at the picture it seems to be the Air Mix Servo Motor.

You are always damn quick on point with schematics and layouts. Where are you grabbing those from? Alldata/Mitchell comes up short on me too often.

Yes, It is the Air Mix control as you pointed out.
This is what I was going to get https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-15-7...ds=ACDELCO+Part#1573513&qid=1583076364&sr=8-2

It seems to fit a few different vehicles. Does it look right?

    Thanks again for your help
